Congratulations to Wendell Akins & Daniel Arbour on winning the BREC Icebreaker Tournament today at Historic City Park golf course. Weather was a considerable challenge today with temperatures in the mid-50’s and steady rain that fell through all 18 holes. The players played a 2-player scramble of the first nine holes and a better-ball format for the 2nd nine holes. Twenty-six teams began play and nineteen teams finished all 18 holes. Last year 10 teams managed under par scores, this year only the top 5 teams managed to post scores under par.

Akins & Arbour tied Jeremey Gautreaux & Phil Frazier at 5-under par 59 and won the scorecard playoff with the lower score on the 2nd nine holes. Craig Rose & Brandt Garon came in third with a 4-under par 60. Mike Drury & Jacob Maranto took fourth place with a 3-under par 61. Landon Covington & Robbie White won the First Flight at even par 64.
