About BREC

BREC is the agency that connects people to parks and nature in East Baton Rouge Parish, of which BREC Golf is an important component. BREC has more than 180 parks including a unique mix of facilities, which mirror the history and rich natural resources in the region. The combination of new and renovated facilities, innovative programming and careful attention to community needs help BREC fulfill its mission to contribute to a healthier, more vibrant community by providing exceptional parks, open spaces and recreation experiences for all of East Baton Rouge Parish.
Throughout its 70-year history, BREC has embraced its responsibility to improve the health, safety, environment and quality of life for all citizens. BREC was among the first park agencies to earn national accreditation and recently earned reaccreditation for an unprecedented fifth time, meeting all 144 standards. BREC is a two-time National Gold Medal Award winner and 12-time national finalist.

Tee Time Reservations

  1. Tee Time Reservation Policy for 18-hole courses:
    1. Reservations may be made beginning at 12:00 noon, thirteen days in advance.
    2. Telephone reservations will be taken in the order which they are received.  Online tee times are available at Book Online.  Golfers can save money by pre-paying green fees and cart rentals online at Pre-Pay and Save.
    3. Tee time reservations may only be made online or by phone during the first 30 minutes of availability. After 12:30 reservations may be made online, by phone, or in person.
    4. Customers may reserve a maximum of 2 groups per tee time call.
    5. No standing tee times will be allowed for anyone.
    6. Reservations will be made only for groups of two (2), three (3), and four (4) players.
      1. Golf Course Managers may, by discretion, allow reservations for five (5) players.
      2. Reservations will not be made for single players.
    7. BREC reserves the right to pair up singles and twosomes with other player groups from the waiting list on the day of play.
    8. Course closures and or delays:
      1. Should a course be closed the entire day, all reservations for that day will be cancelled, efforts will be made to notify the public.
      2. If a course is closed only temporarily, as with frost, the reservations will be honored in the original order that they were listed on the tee time sheets.
  2. Tee Time Reservation Policy for 9-hole courses:
    1. Reservation policies are the same as 18-hole courses except;
      1. Every fourth tee time is reserved for walk-on golfers.
      2. Walk –on tee times may be reserved for league or outing groups.
