Webb Golf Course is an 18-hole course that measures 6,656 yards in length and is centrally located at BREC’s Webb Park. Large oak trees line the fairways of this golf course that is ideally situated not far from downtown. The golf course now known as Webb Memorial originally open in 1925 as Westdale Country Club. The golf course was purchased by LSU in 1936 and operated by the university for twenty years. This was the original LSU golf course. LSU sold the course to BREC in 1957 after opening their own on-campus golf course.
Among the area’s busiest golf courses, Webb is ideally situated off of College Drive not far from I-10, making it a convenient spot from anywhere in Baton Rouge. Webb does not have a traditional driving range, but does have a netted warm-up area were golfers can hit some range balls to loosen up before playing.
Webb’s pro shop is stocked with the latest equipment and clothing from the top manufacturers in the golf industry for both ladies and men. Our staff will help you select the product that is right for you. Golfers can also find a variety of drinks and snacks in the pro shop to take along with them on a golf outing.
